We all are lucky to have the best technique compared to previous generations. Mobile, laptop, and other gadgets are making our lives simpler. There was a time when we were going through dark patches concerning internet speed, but now we don’t have those worries. In short, gadgets make our lives easier, simpler, and smoother, so why do we overwork. Why are we suffering from overwork?
Let’s have a look at the overworking habit, which is immensely awful for you.
OVER WORKING EFFECTS ON MENTAL HEALTH
We all love our work and family, so we try our level best to balance work and family.
Work hard for our family and earn money to fulfill their wishes like shopping, movies, fun parks, etc. but don’t forget that your family loves you as much as you do. When you prefer hard work for a family, that’s good, but what if you cross the line and your hard work turns into overworking? That’s not a good sign for you and your family as well.
Overworking will not give you the space for creativity if there is no productive work, you will start getting bored from your work, and then you will not be a human but a robot who works for hours and hours only for money.
Your overworking habit affects your mental health severely that you won’t imagine. Overworking gives an ample amount of stress. You are capable enough to deal with your anxiety, but you are busy with your work, which is called overworking.
As time goes on and on, your brain will not function as smoothly as it was before. Due to the bad habit of overworking one day, you’ll keep yourself in the worst condition.
Remember, you are not a machine, which works for hours and hours. You are a creator if your brain is full of stress, then how will you give your best? what about your creativity?
Your mind is a weapon that doesn’t give its best then do you able to finish your work correctly? NO, you are not able to do anything without a healthy mind. According to some authentic experts, if you work for 2 to 6 hours, you will give your best productive and creative work during these hours.
Overworking is as harmful as you can run for 3 km, but you push yourself for 10 km. That might be difficult, not impossible, but if you run for 10 km every day, that’s highly damaging for your health, and the same thing happens to your mind.
For example, when you run for 10 km for one day, two days and on the third day your body will not be able to move, and in that condition, you have to give proper rest to your body, but in overworking you don’t realise the mental health issues then you keep working and working. The initial level of stress can throw you one day into depression.
DEPRESSION:
The worst thing about depression is even if you like it or not, you prefer to stay alone, where you don’t want to interact with anyone. You feel lazy throughout the day, and that day turns into weeks, weeks turn into months, and you will not get it, these are the symptoms of depression.
In depression, forget about overworking. You will not be able to focus on work. You make such silly mistakes in daily work which you have been doing for years. There are many reasons behind depression, but we are focusing on overworking, so we will understand how overworking causes depression.
Overworking habits will not allow you to focus on your health, relationships, and goals because you are too busy at work.
As I mentioned in a previous blog also, one study says get a break of 20 minutes after each 90 minutes toil work. You are not born to do only work; your wife/husband is waiting for you. Give him or her time too.
OVERWORKING V/S RELATIONSHIP
You are a great guy if you work hard, but there are many other responsibilities along with your business, there also you have to justify. In modern times earning is not the only solution to keep your marriage life smooth, but along with income, your spouse expects to spend some time with him/her.
Nowadays many divorces happen due to a lover failing to manage his/her time with the partner, and it often happens, so eventually, the relationship comes to an end. Remember, time is the only oxygen of relationship.
It’s not a matter of time for a spouse, what about your kids they also want their father/mother, kids except to play with parents, it’s their right to spend time with parents. That’s why I prefer no overworking at the cost of family time. FAMILY TIME IS GOLDEN TIME.
OVERWORKING BRINGS MANY DISEASES
When you work for hours and hours without appropriate rest, you are inviting many diseases like type 2 diabetes, high/low blood pressure, lousy concentration, insomnia (sleeping problem), heart problems, increases/decreases weight, sight issues, headache, and many more issues could happen.
OVERWORKING V/S GOALS
Overworking can kill your goal. If you think that overworking can bring success sooner than sorry, dear, you are mistaken, overworking brings worries only. Let me give you an example through a quote;
Life is not a sprint of 100 meters, but it is a marathon of 42 km. It doesn’t matter how fast you run but how far you run that matters.
Success comes with consistency and that consistency must be balanced in all areas of life like family, friends, work, exercise, etc.
Life is a beautiful journey of different colors, and each situation represents each color and its value in your life, so stop complaining and just be blessed for each moment at a time. Being a drama artist, I can say your journey is a rehearsal and destination is a show, now you tell me, is it fair to expect a prodigious performance of drama even if rehearsals were not good enough?
Overworking may kill your decision-making skills; it makes you weaker in good choices. For example, you have been overworking for a long time, so obviously you must be exhausted; being an exhausted person is the beginning of bad choices. There are many reason to avoid overworking, work hard but keep an eye on balance to keep your life happier.
